KAGEDEV Cameroon is an association that promotes access to education and training for Cameroonians. In addition to its own initiatives, KAGEDEV Cameroon supports local actors in the design, development, and implementation of education projects. The goal is to strengthen capacities and promote the autonomy of populations (communities, parents, teachers, etc.) so that they can become sustainable actors in their own lives and responsible citizens.

Tasks to be performed

  • Design and execute the editorial calendar (site, social networks, newsletters).
  • Produce content (texts, visuals, short videos) and ensure their dissemination.
  • Animate online communities and moderate interactions.
  • Set up awareness/recruitment campaigns (beneficiaries, partners).
  • Coordinate media relations (press releases, press kits, interviews.
  • Track performance indicators (audiences, engagement, leads) and propose optimizations.
  • Support events (logistics communication, live coverage, reports). Ensure brand/message alignment with the KAGEDEV mission and charter.

Desired profiles / Requirements

  • Be a registered student in a higher education institution
  • Master French and English at an operational level(simple communication, reading, writing).
  • Provide an up-to-date CV and a cover letter explaining your objectives, skills, and desired internship period.
  • Be available for a minimum duration of 3 months continuously.
  • Have a good command of digital tools(Word/Docs, Excel/Sheets, PowerPoint/Slides, messaging).
  • Demonstrate rigor, organization, team spirit, pro-activity and ability to learn quickly.
  • Adhere to values and the code of conduct of KAGEDEV: respect, integrity, confidentiality, sense of social impact.
  • Be able to complete the internship in person at the KAGEDEV office in Douala – Bonamoussadi.
  • (Optional) Provide a certificate of enrollment, an internship agreement and/or academic/professional references.

Compensation

Internships at KAGEDEV Cameroon are unpaid. Therefore, costs related to transport, housing and health are entirely the responsibility of the intern. However, in some cases, some  specific and occasional services, when they are clearly identified as paid, may be assigned to the intern and result in additional compensation.


Selection procedure

  • Applications are to be submitted exclusively online, via the official recruitment portal of KAGEDEV Cameroon. Any other form of submission (email, WhatsApp, physical drop-off, intermediary) will be automatically ignored.
  • Applications must be submitted at least two months before the desired internship period, in order to allow for adequate processing and optimal planning.
